Privacy Policy

How we handle your data — core PDF work stays on your device.

📋
Section 1

Overview

PDF Toolkit (“the App”) is developed by Codeyard Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

✅
The short version: Core PDF operations run on your device. We do not operate a cloud PDF processing service. Document contents are not uploaded to Codeyard Studio for viewing, editing, OCR, compression, conversion, or organization. The App does not ship an analytics SDK.

By using PDF Toolkit, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Section 2

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Information you create or import in PDF Toolkit is stored locally on your device (files and a local SQLite index). This may include:

⚠️
Codeyard Studio does not host your PDF library. Deleting the App removes local data unless you previously exported a backup you control.
🚫
Section 3

What We Do Not Collect

For core document features, we do not collect or receive:

We do not claim that “data never leaves your device under any circumstance.” You may share files via the system share sheet, use platform backup (iCloud/Google), or use purchase services described below.

🔌
Section 4

Third-Party Services

RevenueCat / App Stores

Optional Premium purchases may use RevenueCat and Apple/Google billing. These services process purchase and entitlement information. They do not receive your PDF contents, OCR text, or document files for processing.

On-device engines

Platform libraries (such as PDFKit / Vision on iOS and PDFBox / Pdfium / ML Kit on Android) run on your device to render, edit, scan, and OCR documents.

Section 5

Device Permissions

Permissions are requested only when needed. Denying a permission limits the related feature; the rest of the App continues to work.

📤
Section 6

Backups & Sharing

Local backups and exports are files you control. Sharing a PDF uses the operating system share sheet; Codeyard Studio is not a party to that transfer unless you email us support materials yourself.

🧒
Section 7

Children’s Privacy

PDF Toolkit is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

🌍
Section 8

International Users

Because core document data stays on your device, Codeyard Studio does not operate a document-processing backend that transfers your PDFs internationally. Purchase providers may process billing data according to their own policies and store locations.

📝
Section 9

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
